What is It?
Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is the most natural way to rejuvenate the skin. Using plasma from your own blood, is an extremely powerful tool used to help stimulate collagen, elastin and other important components of your skin. This procedure restores youth and produces a healthy glow to the skin by stimulating new cell growth while also healing damaged tissue.
PRF works by stimulating new cell growth and collagen production. The platelets in your blood become activated and release growth factors. These growth factors start the wound healing process by creating new skin cells, collagen, elastin, and blood vessels. This results in firmer, plumper, skin with a reduction in fine lines and even dark spots.
Why PRF?
Most people have heard of PRP (platelet rich plasma) as well as PRF. So why do we use PRF?
The difference between these treatment is how your blood is prepared prior to treatment. With PRP, your blood is spun at a high speed, completely separating the plasma layer. With PRF, your blood is spun at a lower speed so that some of the white blood cells, stem cells, and fibrin remain in the platelet layer. The slow spin means fewer cells are damaged which leaves a higher concentration of platelets. PRF contains approximately 10 times the platelet concentration that is found within the body, whereas PRP contains roughly 2-5 times.
Where Do We Inject PRF?
PRF can be injected anywhere in the body that is in need of collagen stimulation. The "under eye" area is the most popular area. When injected under the eye, PRF stimulates collagen production leading to:

What to Expect:
Your appointment comes with a complimentary consultation and is approximately 45 minutes. Your registered nurse will draw your blood, spin it in a centrifuge machine and prepare your solution for injection. The injections are uncomfortable, but not painful. You will have slight swelling which typically goes down within 24-48 hours.
A minimum of 3 sessions is recommended for optimal results. Each session should be approximately 30 days apart. After your 3 sessions are complete, it is recommended to get PRF injections 1 to 2 times a year for maintenance.
Cost
Each "area" is $550. Both under-eye areas is considered 1 "area".
A series of 3 sessions is recommended for optimal results. A series of 3 sessions is $1500.
PRF treatments cannot not be received while pregnant or breastfeeding.
