VADARA Med Spa offers Botox®, Dysport® and Xeomin®. All of these products are considered "Neuromodulators," "Neurotoxins," & "Tox." They all contain the same active ingredient, Botulinum Toxin-A, and act in a similar manner. The main difference between these products is the inactive ingredients. They all achieve the same goal of wrinkle relaxation. Your injector will help you decide the best product to meet your needs.
Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® injections are the most popular medical cosmetic treatment in the world. Botox®, Dysport® and Xeomin® are used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the face by temporarily paralyzing the underlying muscles.
When injected into facial muscles, they work by blocking the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that triggers muscle contractions. This causes the targeted muscles to relax, smoothing out the overlying skin and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
Botox ®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® typically last around 3-4 months. Individual results vary.
All appointments begin with a consultation with a certified medical professional. Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® appointments take approximately 30 minutes. These procedures use extremely small needles to insert product into the muscles in your face that cause wrinkles to form. This process can be uncomfortable but most people do not consider it to be painful. There is zero downtime and you can even receive treatment during your lunch break. All appointments include a free consultation.
Neuromodulators like Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® take about 3-5 days to start working. They take 2 weeks to fully set in. Occasionally people require a touch up after 2 weeks, this is a normal part of the process as your injector gets to know your own unique muscle structure.
All Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® appointments include a complimentary consultation. If you are unsure about neuromodulators and would like to come in to discuss a treatment plan, we offer free consultation appointments as well.
Neuromodulators like Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® can be used to treat a variety of areas on the face and body, including:
- Forehead: Smooths out the horizontal lines that appear on the forehead when a person raises their eyebrows.
- Frown Lines (11 lines): Treats the vertical lines that appear between the eyebrows when a person frowns.
- Crow's Feet: Treats the fine lines that appear around the corners of the eyes when a person smiles or squints.
- Bunny Lines: Treats the wrinkles that form on the nose when a person "scrunches" their nose.
- Chin Dimples: Treats the dimples or wrinkles that appear on the chin when talking.
- Marionette Lines: Softens the lines that run from the corners of the mouth to the jawline.
- Neck Lines: Treats the horizontal lines on the neck that are commonly referred to as "necklace lines." Also treats the platysmal bands that appear when straining.
- Gummy Smile: Used to decrease the amount of the gums above the teeth that are seen when a person smiles.
- Nasal Flaring: Decreases the amount of nostril flaring.
- Lip Flip: Subtly enhances your top lip, making it appear fuller.
- Smoker Lines: Helps reduce the vertical lines on your upper lip.
- Teeth Clenching • Grinding • TMJ Pain: When injected into the masseter muscles, neuromodulators can reduce the tendency of an individual to clench and grind their teeth. This has the added benefit of slimming the jawline.
- Jawline Sculpting: Lifts and defines the jawline. Can also slim the jawline by decreasing the size of the bulky masseter muscle, creating a more feminine appearance.
- Sweating: Injected into the armpit region to decrease sweating.
- Trapezius - Traptox - Barbie Tox: Reduces excessive muscle contraction. This treatment relieves tension and shoulder & neck pain. It can also decrease headaches as well as slim the neck and shoulder area. It creates the appearance of a slender and longer neckline, giving the "Barbie" appearance.
It is important to note that the effectiveness of injections with neuromodulators may vary depending on the individual's skin type and the severity of the wrinkles or lines being treated. Our trained medical professionals will assess the individual's suitability for neuromodulator injections and discuss potential risks and benefits before proceeding with the treatment.
Neuromodulators are sold by the unit. People typically receive 30-50 units per appointment. Your licensed injector will determine how many units you need based off your desired outcome and facial anatomy. Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® units are $13 each.
